Karnataka Trade Promotion Organization
The need for industrialization and potential for industrial
growth in the State was realized even in the pre-independence
days as is evident in Sir M. Visveswaraiah's famous words “Industrialise
or Perish”. Successive State Governments have continued a progressive
policy of industrialization. As a result, Karnataka is emerging
as the economic capital of India .
Bangalore , Karnataka's beautiful capital city is Asia 's fastest
growing city, known as the Silicon Valley of India. Bangalore
houses many reputed institutions for higher learning, research
centres, laboratories and scientific establishments. Today, the
garden city is fast emerging as India 's hi-tech industrial destination.
The Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation has been established
to promote domestic and international trade. This is a joint
venture of India Trade Promotion Organisation and Karnataka Industrial
Areas Development Board. The Trade Centre Bangalore has been
set up at Plot No.121, Export Promotion Industrial Park , Whitefield,
Bangalore , over an area of 50 acres. An Air-conditioned Exhibition
Hall of 5371 Sq. Mtrs. has been constructed. 11 Open Exhibition
Halls, each with an area of 38 Sq. Mtrs. have been constructed
all around the Exhibition Hall for display of heavy equipments,
machineries and setting up of Food Courts, Business Centres etc
