ACREX 2008:
February 15 to 17 2008
ACREX is the largest
international exposition
in India is being organised by Southern India Chapters of
ISHRAE in association with ASHRAE South India Chapter and
All india Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Association
(AIACRA). In addition to being the Silicon Valley of India
and largest software, IT, ITES, BPO hub of the country,
Bangalore is also a centre for major commercial and software
development, R&D, aviation, healthcare and Bio-Technology
industries. Not surprisingly,
South India with it's
burgeoning techies
and it's IT and Infrastructure growth today is the most
popularly known region of India all over the world. The
entire southern region of India is growing at a rate of
35 - 40% per annum and the HVAC industry is slated to grow
at the same pace
for the next decade.
Indian construction
and infrastructure
industry is witnessing
a rapid growth (at
nearly 12% a year)
which is nearly twice
the world's average.
Accordingly, the HVAC&R
and building Services
industry is now growing
exponentially in terms
of volume, quality,
state of the art technology
and eco-friendliness
of its products and
services.
A large participation of exhibitors
from all over India and abroad at ACREX 2008 will showcase
the global HVAC&R
industry. With a series
of technical seminars on the latest technologies and product
presentations, ACREX 2008 will act as a gateway to the growing

ISHRAE:
ISHRAE (Indian Society
of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers) was
founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R
professionals. ISHRAE has since grown rapidly and today has more
than 3800 HVAC&R professionals as members with (11 chapters
in India and abroad)

(In the list of chapters 12 chapters mentioned plus
2 Sub Chapters. Also no Chapters Abroad!)
ISHRAE is an International Associate of ASHRAE (American
Society of Heating Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers).
To encourage scientific research ISHRAE has evolved many
activities to enhance its objectives like conducting Expositions
in various cities of India, Seminars at National and Regional
Levels, organising Training Courses, Workshops, etc.
The major objectives of ISHRAE are: To advance the art and
science of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering
and related Sciences. To continue the education of the members
and other interested persons in the said sciences through
lectures, Seminars Workshops, Demonstrations, Publications
and Expositions. To render Career Guidance and Financial
Assistance to students of the above sciences.
South India Chapters comprising of Bangalore , Chennai,
Hyderabad and Cochin contribute about
35 - 40% of the ISHRAE membership |

ASHRAE(American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning
Engineers) is the leading international body in the HVAC&R
field and has more than 50000 individual professionals as
members in 100 countries. It has three chapters in India
and ASHRAE South india Chapter is one of them. Based in Bangalore & Chennai
the chapter serves the need of member in South India . ASHRAE
has always provided its full support to its affiliated Society,ISHRAE
for conducting international symposiums and Exhibitions.
It also extends its full support for ACREX 2008 to make it

AIACRA:
All India Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration
Association,
popularly known
as AIACRA was established in 1961. With its four regional associations,
AIACRA has a membership of over 700 manufacturing and trading
companies. AIACRA interacts closely with government bodies
on issues regarding policy matters, tariffs, taxes, ODS phase
out, global warming, etc. It also promotes contacts, trade
and joint ventures between Indian and Foreign companies. |
